This was one of those books that right from the get-go I knew that I wouldn't put it down until it was finished. It was so sad and raw and real.
Throughout the whole story I felt like I was an invisible sidekick with all of the different characters - walking along beside them as their stories were told.
What I appreciated about this book is how real it was. It doesn't gloss over an uncomfortable topic but rather faces it head on. It's definitely one where you'll need to have the tissues ready. And probably keep some snacks and beverages near by for sustenance as it is unlikely that you will want to put it down long enough to have a proper meal.
